What is the difference between the quartet and trio?

Our music is custom-designed for string quartet: 2 violins, viola, cello. Because the quartet represents our signature sound, it is by far our most popular booking. Almost all all of our songs also sound great played by a trio of violin, viola, and cello. Both ensembles are available with acoustic or electric instruments. Our producers will help you decide what works best for your event.
 
For intimate occasions, we are happy to provide solo musicians or duos.

How does ESQ transform into a party band?

To our Electric String Quartet we can add anything from vocals and electric guitar, to a live drummer, keyboardist, and even an MC. We customize to your event needs and work with some of the best musicians in the industry to create an expanded band with ESQ at its core.

What kind of music do you play?

We have a vast repertoire from standard classical to popular music and we update it every year. If you have a special song request that is not on the list, just ask and we'll be happy to work with you!

Can I hear you play live?

Do you have insurance?

Accepted Answer

YES, a whole $1,000,000 liability policy! We would be happy to send your venue or event coordinator a copy of our COI.

Question 6

Can musicians play outdoors?

Accepted Answer

Yes! However, due to the sensitivity of our instruments, we cannot perform under direct sunlight, in the rain, or when temperatures become extreme. If your venue cannot provide shelter for the instruments, special arrangements must be made prior to performance day (i.e. tent rental or space heaters).

Why do you require amplification for certain settings?

Accepted Answer

If you desire the aesthetic of our traditional acoustic strings but have a guest count of more than 30 people for a reception, we amplify our instruments and play through a sound system in order to be heard. This allows us to adjust to the energy of the party without having to compromise our artistry. 
    
Our electric setup automatically comes with a sound system. 
 
Acoustic instruments without amplification are reserved for wedding ceremonies, formal concerts, and intimate gatherings. We work around venue sound ordinances where necessary.
 
We highly recommend our electric strings for the most variety and greatest impact on any event where you want to impress.
